CITIGROUP HEADQUARTERS, NYC
This Citigroup headquarters project designed by Susan Brady clearly demonstrates Apogee’s capabilities go so far beyond providing a lighting solution. The architect SOM needed an extra-ordinary coordination effort because of all of the different elements built into this ceiling. Apogee not only engineered the layout, we also fabricated all of the trough assemblies and panel doors in our Long Island factory. These individual panels are actually frames held by rare earth magnets that pivot down on one side for accessibility. Because of our proximity to NYC we were able to work very closely with all of the installation partners to hit every delivery schedule and keep the project on track.
SOM estimated that our acoustic panels solution saved them over $1M in alternate solutions that they didn’t need to buy.
